The movie also teaches us that we need to stick to it and persevere in order to succeed. But because she stuck to it and kept going and looking for the next one, things eventually worked out. Year: Directors: Sean Anders Country: the United States Cast: Josh Zuckerman , Clark Duke , Amanda Crew Theme: A high school senior drives cross-country with his best friends to hook up with a babe he met online.

This movie sounds a bit like Eurotrip… An online connection with a girl turns into the main protagonist traveling a long distance to meet her and experiencing some crazy adventures on the way there. But this movie is A LOT MORE different. Problem is that she lives on the other side of USA.

So, naturally, Ian takes his best friends — Lance and Felicia — and takes off to meet Ms. The three of them go on a wild trip, during which their car engine stops working and are met with a community of Amish people who help them out.

There, Lance falls in love with a girl named Mary. After finally reaching Ms. Fortunately, everything turns out just fine and Ms. Tasty and her boyfriend are thrown into jail…. Even though in the end Ian and Felicia got together, the main goal of the characters, in the beginning, was to get Ian together with Ms. The movie brilliantly portrays that it is definitely possible to find love the old-fashioned way instead of it being an Online Dating thing only….

If you like this, read on to the next movie…. The movie is about a man — Nev — who finds a family through Facebook and starts a relationship with one of the sisters — Megan. These turn out to be cut from YouTube. They do so and find Angela and Abby. Also, Angela is posing as Megan through a fake profile…. The conclusion is that having her artwork admired was something that Angela craved after she married and had to let go of her art career to take care of her children.

Angela only wanted someone to admire her work and to be able to do art again. But imagine it was someone more nefarious, someone, who could have tried to scam Nev out of his money. This movie sounded incredibly interesting when I read the short summary at first. It struck me completely out of the blue. Let me tell you why:. The movie is about a young girl who meets this older man online. They meet and she actually roofies his drink. Apparently, a girl her age had been kidnapped a while ago and our main protagonist — Hayley — believes that the older man — Jeff — is the culprit.

Even after Jeff takes his own life, the young girl decides to expose him to the world. A movie that tackles sooo many serious points. Although they both knew each other beforehand hence why Hayley wanted to go out with him, and why he wanted to meet her too they had to use Online Dating to outsmart one another in the beginning. Now that was a real rollercoaster of emotion. Year: Directors: Nora Ephron Country: the United States Cast: Tom Hanks , Meg Ryan , Greg Kinnear Theme: Two business rivals who despise each other in real life unwittingly fall in love over the Internet.

In the film, there are two bookstore owners who are rivals. Joe Fox, from the Fox family which owns Fox Books, is a direct rival to Kathleen Kelly, who runs a small independent bookstore left from her mother. The two actually meet online in a chat room under anonymous names and begin a relationship together. In the real life, they both grow to hate each other since they are rivals, but online their love grows. At one point the two decide to actually take things offline and meet.

He decides to not show himself and instead opts to try and fix their real-life relationship first. After making things up he finally decided to show himself to Kathleen and she realizes the real truth about her rival.

Again, you have to be absolutely careful about your Online Dating since the person on the other side may not be who you expect them to be…. Basically, a young writer — Sam — meets a cute street artist and barista — Birdie and falls in love. He then manages to find her Facebook profile with the help of his roommate and starts to message her. He starts to cook, he buys books by her favorite author, he buys albums from her favorite songwriter.

He even makes it so he meets her accidentally at a comedy club and the two become partners at a ballroom-dance class.

After some time, she confesses her love for him and a desire to perform a dancing recital where her parents will watch, but Sam gets insecure and turns her down. Soon after he realizes his mistake and goes back to confess his feelings and that he had lied to her. Again, this only goes to show that you should be extremely careful with anyone you meet online since those people may not be who you think they are.

Year: Directors: David Schwimmer Country: the United States Cast: Clive Owen , Catherine Keener , Liana Liberato Theme: A teenage girl is targeted by an online sexual predator.

This movie is a bit on the morally wrong side again. But it just puts an incredibly strong emphasis on the dangers of Online Dating…. After a bit, he proposes to meet at the mall to which she agrees. He suggests they go to a motel and she agrees. There, he makes her try on lingerie that he bought for her and starts to touch her inappropriately ugh!

After she says no he actually rapes her. Even the FBI gets in on the case. Annie tries to move on with her life, participating in a volleyball game at school. There, her father recognizes a man who he thinks is a sex offender and confronts him, making a scene. This puts Annie in a bad spotlight in front of her peers. After that Brittany tells her that people are making fun of her online for being raped. Her father finds her and brings her to a hospital where Brittany stays for the whole night to mend their relationship.

Regardless, this movie teaches us a LOT about the dangers of Online Dating. It also teaches us a lot about the victims. Usually, these people refuse to believe the facts and truth, insisting that their assailants love them. Basically, be incredibly careful and think twice about every move you make. Things may not look like they appear at first.

This movie is about 3 completely different stories that happen online and have dire consequences on the real world.

The connection between the 3 are the characters. This makes the movie a great representation of the digital world and its problems. The film begins with a new reporter — Nina — who is successful in making contact with — Kyle — a teenager who works as a video chat-room stripper. She is then pressured by the police to help them investigate his boss.

Kyle gives her his address; the police find them but they all escape. After Ben does so they distribute them to his classmates which tips off Ben to try and suicide but leaves him in a coma. Rich finds out about Jessica and then finds out that Jason is behind her. Jason tries to intervene but Rich strikes him with a hockey stick. Mike then punches him which stops the fight. The last story is about a married couple — Derek and Cindy — who realize that their identities have been stolen online.

They hire Mike a private detective to investigate. He finds a lead on — Stephen — and the couple starts stalking him. After finally coming to confront Stephen, Mike stops them, informing them that Stephen had also had his identity stolen.

As with almost all movie stories up until now, what you can get out of this one is to never trust anyone you meet online…. Year: Directors: Michael Goi Country: the United States Cast: Amber Perkins , Rachel Quinn , Dean Waite Theme: Two teenage girls encounter an Internet child predator.

Megan is a popular girl who has a wide social circle. And — Amy — is socially awkward. The police drop the investigation soon after because of the lack of evidence, but Amy is certain that Josh is behind all of this. She finds out evidence on him and shows it to the police, but is captured by Josh before they can react. He takes her away and after he opens the barrel she runs since she sees the rotten corpse of her friend Megan.

Few late '90s VHS collections went without this landmark teen favourite, which presented an alt-romance to the usual prom kings and queens of high school movies. The courtship of Heath Ledger and Julia Stiles is an unconventional one: scrappy, antagonistic, predicated on a bet, and this date is as likeably messy as the rest of the movie — even if it ends, like a couple of Jane Austen lovers, with the two of them rolling around in the hay.

Buy 10 Things I Hate About You. Updated on February 6th, by Colin McCormick: Even as movies continue to grow in terms of the spectacles of CGI, there are few things more entertaining than a well-made fight sequence. From one-on-one battles to massive brawls, the best fight scenes in movies deliver thrills and laughs along with the punches.

Whether it is in a big blockbuster even movie or a smaller, lesser-known gem, some amazing fight scenes just stand out in movie history. There are some who make valid complaints of MCU action sequences being overdone with CGI which can make them feel like a loud mess without any real stakes.

However, Captain America: The Winter Soldier brought some more grounded action to the franchise with some fun results. One of the best examples of this is the close-quarters brawl between Captain America and a gang of mercenaries.

The scene speaks to the theme of the movie as Cap finds himself surrounded by enemies, he thought were his allies. But he doesn't back down from the challenge and takes them all out in the cramped and chaotic brawl.

The Mission: Impossible series is known for its death-defying stunts , courtesy of Tom Cruise. So it is quite surprising that Mission: Impossible — Fallout delivers one of the best sequences with a brutal and visceral hand-to-hand fight in a public bathroom.

Ethan Hunt and his partner Walker corner a suspect in a bathroom only for the man to have much more fight in him than they expected. From a pipe being pulled right out of the wall to Henry Cavill cocking his fists, it is a bombastic and brilliant moment.

In the first The Matrix , audiences were introduced to a world where the laws of reality could be broken. That made for a mind-bending story as well as some truly incredible action sequences.

When Neo comes face-to-face with the seemingly unstoppable Agent Smith, he is able to embrace the impossibilities of this world for a thrilling fight. It combines the grounded and stylized choreography of kung-fu movies while also introducing wire work to modern action movies. Quentin Tarantino combined a lot of different genres into a wild ride for his Kill Bill movies, from exploitation movies to Spaghetti Westerns.

However, the first movie embraces the kung-fu movies of old which leads to the glorious climactic battle.

These would be my favorite movies based on fight scenes; some of these were extremely memorable and I found them to be exquisite due to the choreographed madness that took place within these flicks. Of course, most of the villains rocked hard and were my favorites due to their awesome fight scenes and their brilliant fighting technique.

I also included the animated brawls I greatly enjoyed, so this list is based on both animated and non-animated fights I've greatly enjoyed most of all. TV-PG 24 min Animation, Action, Adventure. Zarbon reveals his ferocious transformation to Vegeta; Krillin and Dende continue their journey to the eldest Namek; Goku trains under 50 times normal gravity; Tien, Yamcha, and Chiaotzu attempt to catch Bubbles as Piccolo meditates. Director: Daisuke Nishio Stars: Peter Kelamis , Terry Klassen , Brian Drummond , Andrew Francis.

Votes: 1, Zarbon versus Vegeta Zarbon transforms and pounds the life out of Vegeta with relentless brutality. Zarbon unleashes a succession of rapid headbutts, roundhouses, aerial bicycle kicks, devastating choke holds, and a bone-cracking pile-driver against Vegeta, tossing his opponent around like a rag doll. This is the one true episode where the villain completely dominates the protagonist character; this is pretty much the epitome of the series to me.

TV-PG Animation, Action, Adventure. Due to his increased strength, Vegeta is able to defeat Zarbon and takes the Dragon Ball from Krillin; the Ginyu Force is launched; Goku continues training at times normal gravity; Gohan has a run-in with Vegeta. Director: Daisuke Nishio Stars: Peter Kelamis , Saffron Henderson , Terry Klassen , Brian Drummond. Zarbon versus Vegeta Vegeta mutilates Zarbon with a spine-cracking maneuver, smashing his fist clean through Zarbon's stomach, jamming into him and keeping his hand there while Zarbon begs for his life.

Blood gushes out as Vegeta unleashes a blast through Zarbon's stomach, sending him sprawling into the air and directly to a watery grave in the Namekian sea.

PG min Action, Adventure, Fantasy. Three unknowing martial artists are summoned to a mysterious island to compete in a tournament whose outcome will decide the fate of the world.

Director: Paul W. Anderson Stars: Christopher Lambert , Robin Shou , Linden Ashby , Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. Reptile versus Liu Kang Reptile enters his humanoid form and slam-kicks Liu Kang through the wall; bouncing in after him and launching a parallel kick at Kang's neck.

After downing him, the two engage in an epic blocking and punching parade where they both nail each other. Reptile falls, fuming from beneath his ninja mask, and Liu Kang uses a spinning stone to slam into Reptile.

Then, Liu Kang unleashes a ruthless combination of dominating punches, sending Reptile backwards and out of breath. Before Reptile can recover from the onslaught, Liu Kang fiercely charges his massively painful bicycle kicks, sending Reptile out of the wall whence they came. He then jumps through and steps on what remains of Reptile, eliminating the awesome ninja warrior.

Two Jedi escape a hostile blockade to find allies and come across a young boy who may bring balance to the Force, but the long dormant Sith resurface to claim their original glory. Director: George Lucas Stars: Ewan McGregor , Liam Neeson , Natalie Portman , Jake Lloyd.

Darth Maul versus Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi I enormously enjoyed the character of Darth Maul, performed by expert martial artist Ray Park, who had the best fight scene in all Star Wars history with his exquisite backflips and astonishingly awesome posture as a gallant warrior, ruthless, yet elegant. He was the lone powerhouse in this flick. Qui-Gon's eventual brilliant demise was extremely memorable at the hands of the awesome Darth Maul, who slayed him with unflinching nerve, turning to take down his next opponent in a fierce thunderous rage, striking like lightning, yet remaining collected and calm as the flow of water; maintaining his physical composure as an expert martial artist.

Of course, he was in turn halved by Obi-Wan, who managed to trick him and use Qui-Gon's lightsaber to bisect the deadly combatant. Due to this movie, Lord Maul quickly became my favorite Star Wars character and had one of the all-time greatest fight scenes and entrances in movie history.

R min Action, Horror, Sci-Fi. A half-vampire, half-mortal man becomes a protector of the mortal race, while slaying evil vampires. Director: Stephen Norrington Stars: Wesley Snipes , Stephen Dorff , Kris Kristofferson , N'Bushe Wright. Deacon Frost versus Blade Frost steams of bloody goodness here as he has a rapid clash with Blade, in which Blade uses his deadly katana-esque sword, slicing with the sharp edge of the blade. Frost, however, uses his own arms to deflect the rapid blows.

Eventually, he is halved by the swift strikes although when Blade turns to move away, Frost recombines his upper and lower half as any blood god would. He then swiftly unleashes a repertoire of kicks, sending Blade flailing around. As Blade notices the deadly serum, he uses a swift strike to obtain the needles, quickly sending them at Frost's body. After Frost is nailed with a consecutive barrage of these needles, Blade delivers a crushing good line and slam-kicks the last needle at Frost's head, which proceeds to force Frost's body to bulge to the max and explode from the chemical reaction.

Wonderful Frost had an awesome struggle. PG min Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi. In a world where mutants evolved super-powered humans exist and are discriminated against, two groups form for an inevitable clash: the supremacist Brotherhood, and the pacifist X-Men. Director: Bryan Singer Stars: Patrick Stewart , Hugh Jackman , Ian McKellen , Famke Janssen. Toad versus Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey Likely the best fight in X-Men movie history, the tricky and acrobatic Toad uses his tongue to propel Storm into the second level and double-kicks Jean Grey and Cyclops in opposite directions as he makes a pretty landing.

Cyclops is sent crashing as Toad begins to hop around, teasing Jean Grey, who then attempts to use her telepathic powers against the sadistic Toad who spits a nice gooey substance in her face to halt her in her tracks. Toad then scales the wall to crash into Storm, who is sent down an elevator shaft.

As Cyclops attempts to help Jean Grey up, Toad is attacked from behind by Storm, who is infuriated and uses her power to send Toad out of the floor and into the sky. Toad barely manages to cling for his life using his tongue before Storm delivers a thunderous lightning attack to fry him in midair, sending him to his death in the water around the Statue of Liberty. PG min Action, Crime. A man blinded by toxic waste which also enhanced his remaining senses fights crime as an acrobatic martial arts superhero.

The Kingpin versus Daredevil Daredevil launches a full-scale assault against Kingpin, who is unaffected by his attempt and uses his body as a ragdoll, slamming him into the ceiling and ground.

Daredevil slides on the ground and slam-kicks Kingpin in the knees, busting his legs and forcing him to slam into the ground. Daredevil allows him to live, with the Kingpin swearing vengeance for his defeat. Kingpin was one awesome fighter here. R 99 min Action, Crime, Drama. Directors: Wei Lo , Chia-Hsiang Wu Stars: Bruce Lee , Maria Yi , James Tien , Marilyn Bautista. Hsiao Mi "The Boss" versus Cheng Chao-an Likely the best choreographed fight scene in all Bruce Lee flicks. The calm and collected Hsiao Mi fights Cheng in a rapid progression of masterful stances and uses his finesse with his feet to pin his opponent.

Eventually, Cheng gets infuriated and manages to get the upper hand, unleashing a furious combo of punches, and an aerial assault that sends Hsiao Mi crawling on the ground. Of course, Cheng doesn't let him slip away and brutally uses his fists to dig into him, bleeding him to death. PG min Action, Adventure, Comedy. A Secret Agent loses his memory after falling from a crashing helicopter.

He is then chased by several other agency operatives, but he has no idea why. Directors: Benny Chan , Jackie Chan Stars: Jackie Chan , Michelle Ferre , Mirai Yamamoto , Ron Smerczak.

Votes: 40, Morgan's Hitmen Ron Smoorenburg and Yung Kwan versus Jackie Chan a. Who Am I? This scene needs to be watched in order to fully understand what an excellent fight scene is composed of.

The two hitmen attack Jackie Chan's character in a flurry of systematic kicks and punches, in an explosion of double trouble. Eventually, they grow tired of Chan's relentlessness and are slammed into the cement and painfully struck down. However, both of these baddies put up such a great fight, it's likely the best choreographed one in all of Jackie Chan's flicks. Bruce Banner, a scientist on the run from the U.

After repeated relentless crushing blows, Hulk appears behind Abomination and grabs the chains that are sent upward, proceeding to tie them around Abomination and grab him in a choke hold, finally releasing his grip when Abomination loses his strength to fight back.

Hulk allows the deadly brute to crash to the ground. Three years into the Clone Wars, the Jedi rescue Palpatine from Count Dooku. As Obi-Wan pursues a new threat, Anakin acts as a double agent between the Jedi Council and Palpatine and is lured into a sinister plan to rule the galaxy. Director: George Lucas Stars: Hayden Christensen , Natalie Portman , Ewan McGregor , Samuel L.

Darth Sidious versus Yoda Maul had the best fight scene, but this would likely be my second choice in Star Wars movies. I loved the way Sidious propelled the senate pods at Yoda, who attempted to use the force to shift their direction. Palpatine fought so well, deflecting the rapid Yoda's attacks, sending the pesky little critter down the corridor and running for his life; as Yoda went into exile, the ruthlessly awesome and brilliant Sidious clinged to a pod, laughing in harmonious yet wicked glory, his voice echoing in the entire Galactic Senate grounds.

With a flurry of table-cracking, wall-smashing, ground sliding techniques in rapid succession, Najara sends Xena flailing in what appears to be Xena's defeat in combat. Of course, Xena returns later and fights her again, but the first time around is a masterpiece of combat to the greatest magnitude - in essence, the zenith of pulse-pounding, bone-cracking maneuvers that two females showcase in a single brawl.
